The Thornes are a dynamic, seven-piece live outfit from South London bringing a fresh, brassed-up edge to classic and contemporary Soul, Motown, Pop, Rock and R&B.  

All seven core members grew up and played music together during their school days, later officially forming the band in 2018. This decades-long rapport translates into a seamless, high-impact stage presence and a tight, polished sound that sets them far apart from standard function line-ups relying on revolving dep musicians.

Fronted by powerhouse lead female vocals and backed by a punchy two-piece horn section, alongside a killer rhythm section consisting of guitar, bass, keys, and drums, the ensemble boasts top-class musicality. Individual band members received their training from prestigious institutions including the Royal College of Music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Leeds Conservatoire, and BIMM London.
